Drawing a Line in the Sand: Bold Changes and Global Wins this Week

Between the new moon and solar eclipse today, PLUS the equinox tomorrow, there is some STRONG energy being stirred up across the globe. If you've been feeling emotional, anxious, or even a little triggered, it's completely appropriate. You can say it's just the moon. (Extra points if you're in your luteal phase this week.)

Unconscious energy is being brought to the surface on a personal and global scale. It's time to choose - either double down on the old stories and patterns being brought to the surface, or draw a line in the sand so you can build the life you ACTUALLY want.

Women and allies across the globe are channeling this energy to dismantle corrupt systems and create bold change in courtrooms, in South Africa, and on the Emmys stage. Your personal transformation isn't separate from this global shift; you're part of the movement.

Let's look at the global shifts happening this week.

Political Powerhouses Refusing to Back Down

Rep. Jasmine Crockett Demolishes FBI Director: Rep. Jasmine Crockett absolutely demolished FBI Director Kash Patel during a House Judiciary Committee hearing, calling him "the least qualified FBI director in the history of the FBI", telling him, "we just need to tell you bye." She dismantled his credentials, pointing out he's the only FBI director who never actually served with the FBI before taking the role.

James Talarico's MAGA Response: During a national interview, Texas State Rep. James Talarico called out how reporters only ask him about trans athletes instead of housing costs, prescription drugs, or childcare. He declared "the only minority destroying this country is the billionaires" while trans people, undocumented people, and Muslims are just 1% of the population each – we're focused on the wrong 1%.

Illinois Senator Confronts ICE: Illinois State Senator Karina Villa went racing through West Chicago streets, warning residents to stay inside as masked ICE agents conducted enforcement operations. She shouted "Don't open your doors if there's not a warrant" in both English and Spanish. She confronted the agents, demanding they remove their masks and declared, "This is MY city". This is what real leadership looks like in the face of fascism – an elected official literally running through the streets to protect her people from state violence.

Justice Breaking Through

Luigi Mangione Terrorism Charges Dismissed: A New York judge dismissed state terrorism charges against Luigi Mangione in the UnitedHealthcare CEO killing, ruling that his apparent motivation to expose healthcare inequities doesn't meet the legal definition of terrorism. The judge found no evidence Mangione intended to "intimidate or coerce a civilian population," despite prosecutors trying to frame his ideological motive as terrorism.

Maurene Comey Sues Trump Administration: Former federal prosecutor Maurene Comey, daughter of ex-FBI Director James Comey, filed a lawsuit to get her job back after being fired without explanation. She was let go during Trump's purge of prosecutors who worked on high-profile cases including Jeffrey Epstein and Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Global Wins for Humanity

Oregon Republican Switches Parties: Oregon State Rep. Cyrus Javadi switched from Republican to Democrat, citing the GOP's focus on "burning things down" rather than governing, after facing a heated recall campaign for supporting LGBTQ+ rights, including voting for anti-book ban legislation. His decision was influenced by having a gay son and refusing to let kids be denied stories that reflect their lives on library shelves.

South Africa Allows Men to Take Wives' Surnames: South Africa's Constitutional Court ruled that husbands can take their wives' surnames, overturning a colonial-era law that only allowed women to change their names after marriage. The court noted that before European colonization, many African cultures traditionally allowed women to keep their birth names and children to take their mother's clan. This is actively dismantling colonial patriarchy – showing how legal systems can evolve to reject the sexist traditions imposed by colonizers.

Healthcare and Community Wins

Iowa Pays for Trans Student Discrimination: Iowa agreed to pay $85,000 to LGBTQ+ students who were ejected from the state Capitol in 2020 after trans students were denied bathroom access by state troopers. The entire group was banned after advocates challenged the discrimination. The settlement comes months after Iowa became the first state to remove gender identity as a protected class from its civil rights laws. Even as red states try to erase rights, the legal system can still hold them accountable.

Flint's Cash Transfer Program: Flint, Michigan's Rx Kids program gives $1,500 to every pregnant woman and $500 monthly for their baby's first year, with new research showing it reduced postpartum depression by 14% and saved millions in NICU costs through better infant outcomes. The universal program has 100% participation and is expanding to 17 Michigan communities, proving that direct cash transfers work better than means-tested welfare.

HIV Research Reveals Ovarian Cancer Target: Wistar Institute scientists discovered a new therapeutic target for ovarian cancer. By building on decades of HIV research, researchers have found they can selectively block tumor-supporting cells while leaving beneficial immune cells intact. The breakthrough shows how insights from HIV studies can inform cancer treatment, potentially making ovarian and other cancers more responsive to immunotherapies.

Cultural Shifts and Bold Actions

Hannah Einbinder's Emmy Speech: "Hacks" star Hannah Einbinder won her first Emmy and used her acceptance speech to declare "Go Birds, f— ICE and free Palestine," making the ceremony's first overtly political statement. She later clarified that as a Jewish person, she feels obligated to distinguish Jews from the Israeli state and support pressure tactics against genocide.

Anti-Trump UK Protesters Project Epstein Images: British activists projected images of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein onto Windsor Castle during Trump's visit to the UK, including the birthday letter Trump allegedly wrote to Epstein. They're refusing to let Trump forget about his association with Epstein, using the world's biggest stage to keep it front and center.

Why This Week Matters

This week proved that when we stop letting unconscious patterns run our lives and start drawing lines in the sand, we become part of a global force for transformation. The same eclipse energy pushing you to choose between your old stories and the life you actually want is the exact energy fueling every single win we celebrated this week.

With Jasmine Crockett fearlessly calling out incompetence and state leaders protecting their people, we're seeing what happens when we confront what's not working and start building what we need.

So as this transformational energy continues to surface everything that needs to shift, ask yourself: What old story am I ready to release?  Because when you draw your line in the sand, you give everyone around you permission to do the same.

Never miss the good news.

With over 15 years and 20,000+ hours guiding overworked women, Tamara has developed The Sacred Success Code—a proven approach that identifies the generations of patriarchal conditioning, awakens your intuition, and activates your authentic feminine power. Her work isn't about superficial mindset shifts or traditional business strategy—it's about fundamentally transforming your relationship with your self and your success.

Her approach honors both your strategic brilliance and your feminine essence. When you work with her, you enter a new paradigm where hustle is unapologetically replaced by flow, where success and sacred divinity coexist in perfect harmony.
