Why Everything Feels So Intense Right Now: Schumann Resonance and Awakening with Erin Brown

Watch: Tamara Rose and Erin Brown on the Schumann resonance, spiritual awakening and why everything feels so intense

Listen on Apple Podcasts · Spotify · YouTube

If everything feels louder, heavier and more intense lately, and you're more sensitive to sound, light and people than you used to be, you're not imagining it. This conversation connects what's being measured in the Earth's energy field with what so many of us are feeling in our bodies, in a voice that makes sense to a logical mind.

What you'll hear

Tamara sits down with Erin Brown, who spent 25 years as a nurse, earned a master's degree in health professions education and designed high-tech medical simulations for new doctors at a university. Erin noticed she would wake up feeling a certain way, then check the Schumann resonance graph and find the same pattern there, so she did what a scientist does: she wrote it down every single day for a year. When she ran the numbers, there was a significant correlation between how she felt and what showed up on the graph.

Her awakening came out of a crisis in her own medical care, when she learned she had been treated for two years for a condition she didn't have. Everything she had built her identity on fell apart, and the first time she tried meditating, sitting in a dark closet, she had a physical experience she couldn't explain away; as she says, how do you deny something you've felt yourself?

What is the Schumann resonance?

The Schumann resonance is a set of measurements tracking the extremely low frequency part of the Earth's electromagnetic field, first described in 1952. Erin compares it to a cushion of air around the planet, where energy from lightning, solar activity and the movement of the Earth bounces around and gets measured. Its base frequency has sat at 7.83 hertz for decades, and she has watched it jump to 8.01, 8.12 and as high as 8.23. On the graph she follows, the spikes have been getting taller and closer together over the last two years, which many people compare to contractions in labor, and it lines up with the sun's current solar maximum, which has been stronger than past cycles.

She reads the colors too. Big white spikes tend to last anywhere from two to 24 hours and bring new energy in from the crown down, while red tends to show up as release energy lower in the body. You have to rise to meet that new frequency, and when you do, it opens you to more ideas, more inspiration and more possibility.

Why sensitivity is rising, and what to do with it

Tamara explains why, a few years ago, she started working with her clients' nervous systems first; they wanted higher consciousness but were living in fight, flight or freeze. She also questions the labels: we're flooded with more stimulation than any generation before us and more sensitive at the same time, so before reaching for a label, calm your system down. Erin adds that what we call neurodivergence may be part of our evolution, and she points to the Flynn effect, the long rise in intelligence scores from one generation to the next, as one way knowledge builds over time. Each new generation seems to arrive more sensitive, reminding the rest of us to get quieter and turn within.

Both women agree an awakening doesn't have to look dramatic. Your body will bring you what it can hold, comparing your experience to someone else's only steals your joy, and the more aware you become, the less mind-blowing it feels, because it simply becomes your life. How frequency shapes manifestation

Erin explains manifestation in dimensions. An idea starts as possibility in 5D, moves into your mind in 4D where you plan it, then comes into 3D when you take action. It compresses a lot on the way down, so focus on the feeling you want, not the object; you might ask for a house for freedom and get a car that gives you the same freedom. The law of attraction is neutral, so if you're stuck hating your job, step away from it for a while, take a walk or call a friend, and come back once the momentum has eased. Her closing advice is to be gentle with yourself, because a change that took 44 years to build won't happen in three days, and to never discount your imagination.
