Oh, the next evolution tastes so sweet… I woke up so early this morning, around 5am, to see the results coming in, and woman after woman had stepped into a seat no woman had ever held before. So let's take 10 minutes to look at who they are, what the sky was doing while it happened and what it means for all of us.

This Week's Sky

Five planets are retrograde: Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. This is a season for reviewing, revising and clearing, and the two you'll feel most in your everyday life are still Mercury and Venus.

about 7am MT
Mercury met the Sun this morning in Scorpio, the moment astrologers call the cazimi, "in the heart of the Sun." It's the clearest day of the whole retrograde, when what's been muddy comes into focus and a new way of speaking the truth arrives. It landed the morning after women all over the country were elected to speak for millions of people.
Oct 24 to
Nov 13
Mercury is still retrograde in Scorpio, so recounts and races that take days to call are right on schedule. Give the final results a little more time to arrive.
Oct 25 to
Nov 13
Venus is retrograde in Libra, the sign of the scales, so balance, fairness and who we're in partnership with are all up for review, in our relationships and in our governments.
Mon, Nov 9
12:02am MT
The New Moon in Scorpio. A New Moon is a start, a beginning, and in Scorpio it's about power, what we're willing to transform and what we're ready to claim as ours. Set your intention for what you want to step into next.

Here in the United States, a blue wave carried these women into office on Tuesday, November 3rd (results are unofficial until they're certified):

In Georgia alone, women will hold seven of the eight top statewide offices in January.

Last week I told you a record 3,824 women were running for state legislatures… this is what it looks like when they show up. Strong women ready to speak truth to power, and this is the first step to making the change.

So if your body is buzzing today, with joy or with exhaustion from a long night of refreshing, let it move through you. Be sure to care for your nervous system, and don't hold on to any energy that's not actually yours or that isn't going to serve you.

Melat Kiros was elected to Congress from right here in Colorado on Tuesday. At 29, she's the first Gen Z woman ever elected to Congress, and the first Black woman Colorado has sent there. The generation we keep saying will lead us? They've started.

What we can do this week

Say the true thing

Mercury in the heart of the Sun is the clearest day of this retrograde for your voice. Pick one truth you've been holding back, in a conversation, a boundary or a decision, and say it out loud this week.

This is what it looks like for the divine to rise

We've started to embark on a Year 9 cycle, with women coming into power and the divine feminine rising… and today was the first day we got to feel what that would actually be like.

Women around the world have been responding to my posts in tears, so moved, and men and women both are feeling hopeful. This is what it looks like for the divine to rise.

I'm feeling this and seeing it as just one step. It's all of our opportunity, and our duty, to keep riding this wave of hope and to make the change we're here to make.

I'm curious… what change are you here to make?

Virtual hugs,
Tamara 🌹
